I really, really , really want to know WHAT made you say this statement, “even though it is not a good college”.
Well, VIT is a private college, primarily started in Vellore City & now expanded to Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh.
VIT has the best infrastructure compared to many NITs, many other private collages in India. I can guarantee you, if you choose a branch in VIT & you choose to stay in Hostel, then you will definitely get a hostel room, irrespective of when you join. Unlike many many other college there is no first come & first serve rule , at least till last couple of year, I think this trend did not change.
VIT hostel infrastructure is one of the best, students meet people from almost all the states of our country, from Kashmir, North-East India, many more remote places. You get to meet many foreign students, now this diversified culture makes you confident, smart & it takes your shyness away which many guys have when they join college.
I would also say if not IIT infrastructure but it would give a tough competition. Trust me , you will not easily find a college like VIT where hostel for students / mess facility is highly appreciated.
