IIIT-H offers lateral entry after two years of B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science and Electrical and Communication Engineering. The lateral entry students are enrolled into dual degree program which means that the child will get a B.Tech and a M.S. by research degree in their respective field. To get the degree, the child will have to perform some high quality research work and write a thesis and succesfully defend it.
