any government job either through UPSC or the state SSB will be good. If not some PSUs are also good. The third alternative is teaching in a good technical institution run by the state or central government. But in any case if you want to progress in your career ensure civil engineering is the core branch and not a peripheral branch. Otherwise you cannot reach the top of the ladder but be content as a subordinate.
