What should a final-year diploma student do in order to get into R. V. College of Engineering for CSE?

If you are in the starting of the final year

one thing you have to notice is that your previous two year’s percentage will not get counted in the DCET ranking. Forget the backlogs & the bad percentage that you have if that is the case. Only the final year percentage it matters. It is better to maintain minimum of 85% in the final year to get top colleges in Bangalore. If it is less than 85% you need to balance it with DCET score which may become a bit challenging for you.

Coming to DCET which you write after 6th sem, It will contain everything that you read in all three years. Among 180 marks, 80 is for science & maths having 40 marks each. Rest 100 marks are for your subjects related to your branch. If you haven’t studied them properly in the past two years you need to go through all of them once again.

Regarding DCET paper. To be frank, compared to KCET, DCET is very easy. And the subjects we study throughout the 3 years contains almost basic level, not into depth.

So being final year student focus on your percentage and start preparing for DCET parallelly. Preparing for math and science along with branch subjects will bring you good ranking because science and math carry 80 marks.
