Most of the seats in RVCE are filled by the first 2000 rank in COMEDK. It is highly unlikely to get a seat with a rank of 8500. RVCE is the first choice for most of the Comedk students and there are only a limited seats out of the 1000 or so seats in RVCE reserved for Comedk. Most of the seats are fillled by students based on the Karnataka CET. Still i would suggest you to attend the counselling and try to get into any other good college. Best of luck.
