I was being waitlisted in Christ University with nothing going wrong in my interview process.
I have around 3 yrs of work ex in Infosys Ltd and 87 percentile in MAT with also decent academic scores through which I had applied for Christ and all my rounds went super good.
Even in my personal interview they were happy about my company and my experience. Later the day of the results, I was put on Waitlist for all the three preferences and when called them, they never pick up the call. When personally went to talk to them, they said selection is on “RANDOM” basis and the waiting list people would be converted most probably is what they said to me coz waiting list meant ‘you are selected but if the selected ones don’t take admission, you will be considered’ is what again they told me.
How can a college select people based on random? Isn’t merit the right way?
And during the selection process, they said, “We select people only on MERIT basis”. Bullshit!
Anyways, I was asked to wait for approx 22 days for my conversion. Till the last day there was no update and nothing from their end.
