Hey there !!
It’s my third year as an srmite and these years have been really experienceful in my life . I had no experience as an hostelier but I got this experience in srm . Keep your calm and do remember some things before getting in srm .
1). I have no clue about other colleges but srm has a very less record in ragging freshers so chill on that .
2). You won’t like the mess food at all , but eventually you’ll learn that you have the capability of surviving in any condition , you’ll have to adapt yourself in that situation .
3). You’ll find diversity of students coming from different part of the country . Different kind of people even if they are coming from same place . You’ll learn to get up with any kind of people just welcome everyone and Don’t restrict yourself from any kind of conversation .
4). Don’t mess with the facaluty !!! Just don’t !! Unlike school where teachers forgave us on any matter . Professional colleges don’t take any shit from students .
5). It’s an engineering college , expect very less female interaction .
6). Sometimes you’ll find yourself in a situation that you’ll think of quitting everything . Frustrating surrounding , teachers , studies , pressure from parents . Don’t hesitate to talk to someone. Don’t put yourself in a nutshell and bury your thoughts . Reach out !!
7). Scoring marks in Srm is not that difficult . I myself was an average student in school but once focus comes into play in an engineering college (can be hard to concentrate sometimes) you’ll see your future bright .
8). Stay away from drugs .
9). College is not the end . You’ll have to foresee your future at that time . You will have loads of time , 4 years to figure out what you want to do after that .
10). Please don’t hesitate to talk to your teachers on any matter .
When I was in my freshman year . I was a confused individual on every matter but as time passes things fall into place .
