Yes indeed it is,even i am a diploma holder in fashion designing .Soon after my diploma i got call from very known brand of export company for training and job.Though i wasn’t in a mood to do job so i just did my training and left that export .
So to sum up this answer i can say you should go with diploma if you don’t want to go for degree in fashion designing.

I did my designing from CIDT in faridabad,i got placed after 2 months of finishing my course …it was just 1 year course…that export house is owned by Anand Ahuja (sonam kapoor’s husband)…they offered me 15k as fresher…and i was handling Mark and spencer’s designing there in first month itself…
