BITS Pilani is an Institution of Eminence (IoE), highest recognition for an Indian institution. Very few IITs, deemed-universities and other institutes are declared IoE. The Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) of BITS Pilani constitutes a unique set of educational offerings for working professionals. WILP are an extension of programs offered at the BITS Pilani campuses and are comparable to their regular programs both in terms of unit/credit requirements as well as academic rigors. On the recommendation of the Empowered Expert Committee, UGC in its 548th Meeting held on 09.09.20 has approved the continued offering of BITS Pilani’s Work Integrated Learning programmes. This makes it par with regular degree.
BITS Pilani’s degrees are well recognized for pursuing PhD. However, it depends on the eligibility for the program offered by admitting university.
