Both the colleges are the most important colleges after IITs, NITs and some reputed government college and private colleges such as BITS and VIT, Vellore.Both the universities are deemed. In 2017, SRM University ranked 35th position while KIIT University ranked 47th. But faculty in KIIT is quite better than SRM University. The diversity in SRM is more .Chennai campus SRM provides good placements but in all other campuses placement record is average and in KIIT placement condition quite better . Also KIIT is best known for it’s placements through CSE branch.
Well CSE , CSSE and CSCE is all the same from placement point of view.
As for SRM Chennai, it is less concerned on academics than KIIT but is known for providing better placements to their students than KIIT. Infrastructure of this college is very nice and the college is well known for their co-curricular activities or the club activities.
So it’s up to you. I also quit the idea of SRM CSE because this year many people won’t opting for SRM. As a result the quality of the students won’t be good as they will be giving CS to more people.
