Well!! I think I am qualified to answer this question as I was a part of Chandigarh University or I can say I am an alumni of Chandigarh Group of Colleges. So generally in CGC or CU(Chandigarh University) there are a variety of companies that visit for campus placements every year. the packages generally vary from 3LPA to 45 LPA and yes I mean it 45 LPA. Now coming to your question a package silmilar to your quote was offered to a student of CGC(parent college of Chandigarh University). It was Amazon which offered 24 LPA to one of the students. To get selected firstly, you should be an IT or CS stream student. Secondly you must be brilliant. You should have an expert level knowledge of Data Structures and last but not the least a student of CGC or CU to be a part of this placement process. During my placements, I wittnessed a company named DShaw offering a package of 18 LPA and mind you that this company only visited CGC or CU after IIT’s and yeah this was a Joint Campus drive for CGC,CU,IIT Mandi, IIT Ropar, NITs and yeah Thapar university too.
