Being a student here I can say it is one of the best IIT in india, if I want to rate it. After those 7 old IITs( KGP, Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Madras, Roorkee, Guwahati) and IIT-BHU, those are the only IITs that are above IIT-DHN, but for some branches like Mining, Petro this will come first.
Wellas it is an IIT, now it will surely increase it’s reputation and ranking.
