Long answer ahead.
My train was supposed to reach Delhi at 7:25, but it got some 3 hours late, Thanks to the fog in Delhi. The admission process begins at college from 10 O’clock, reaching early is better because the crowd increases exponentially. So we took an auto from station to MAMC. The auto driver, during our journey, was informing us of his frequent escapades to the medical college and how well he knew the place. We reached around 11 AM, not at the medical college but at the dental college. Papa and I had alighted, trusting the auto driver’s knowledge, and thus were in for a shock when we realised that BDS admissions were being done in that building and not MBBS. I pity those patients who had been dropped at the dental hospital by him.
Since it was already late, we decided to walk to the Medical college. My cousin who also happens to be my local guardian was waiting for us there. We required his signatures and some important documents from him. We reached room 18,19 and were asked to fill certain forms with our details, then pay the fees, take 2 copies of the fee slip which will have to be submitted along with the documents. Note- the forms require you to write your name and your parents’ name in Hindi as well as English. Make sure you learn to write the same in Hindi, because if you are like me, you will have to ask someone to write that for you. After this, we had to arrange our self attested photocopies in the file given by them in the order mentioned. I had already checked whether I had all the documents required thrice before leaving Chennai in the fear that I might leave something important there. I had also bought them arranged in order prior to reaching college. I had only left the self attestment part out, and thus was being reprimanded by my father for not having done that earlier. Everyone was tensed about the counselling.
