NEET 2018– The result of NEET 2018 has been announced on June 4, 2018, which can be checked by the NEET 2018 takers through the official link given here. The NEET 2018 result has been declared in online mode in the form of individual scorecards of NEET 2018 takers. The NEET 2018 score-card provides the All India NEET rank of the candidate, NEET score and percentile score. The CBSE has also announced the number of candidates who have qualified the exam under each category and the cutoff marks to qualify the exam for the respective categories. According to the results of NEET 2018, as many as 7,14,562 candidates have qualified for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) counselling admissions. Further, based on the NEET 2018 results, Kalpana Kumari of Bihar scoring 691 marks have bagged AIR 1, closely followed by Rohan Purohit (AIR 2) and Himanshu Sharma (AIR 3) with 690 marks, scored by both of them. The official answer key of NEET 2018 was released by CBSE on May 25, 2018, on its official website. The OMR response sheets of the candidates have also been released simultaneously. Candidates are required to log in to CBSE’s website by using their registration ID and password in order to be able to access the NEET 2018 official answer key. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted successfully on May 6, in offline mode. The official answer key of NEET 2018, the OMR response sheets and question paper booklets of candidates will be available for viewing and challenging between May 25 and May 27, 2018. Earlier, the official update issued in this regard stated: “The CBSE will display the Answer Key, Images of OMR and Responses to the questions marked by the candidates and Test Booklet Code of the candidates from 25.05.2018”. NEET is conducted annually to provide admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental institutions across the country. Last year, NEET received 11,38,890 registrations for admissions to approximately 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats on offer. This year, 13.26 lakh candidates have registered for NEET 2018 as per data shared by the CBSE. Earlier, the admit card of NEET 2018 was made available for all candidates, including those from NIOS/open schools and those above the upper age limit as per the interim order of the Delhi High Court on April 26, 2018. The admit card was released on April 17, 2018, by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in online mode. As per the final judgement passed by the Delhi High Court on May 11, 2018, candidates from NIOS and open schools are eligible for admissions through NEET 2018 but those above the upper age limit have been barred. The counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and seats in all Deemed and Central Universities will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). For admissions to 85% State Quota seats, the respective states will conduct their own counselling. Only those candidates who qualify NEET 2018 by scoring minimum required cutoff will be eligible to participate in the MBBS/BDS admission counselling process. To qualify NEET UG 2018, candidates from general category will be required to score equal to or more than the 50th percentile and those belonging to reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST) will be required to get at least 40th percentile.
