My answer is going to be regarding the first semester of first year. First of all the branches have been divided into three categories. The first category includes students from branches – CS, EEE, ENI, MECH, CHEMICAL. The second category has branches – CIVIL , MANU , MSc Phy, Che, Math, Bio, Eco, GS. The third category includes only students of B. Pharmacy. The students of first and second categories study same subjects in the first year but at different courses of time , meanwhile they study some common subjects in each semester also. The sequence of subjects to be studied each semester varies from year to year. This year(2018–19) in Sem 1 the second category students have classes and labs of 31 hours in a weak while the first category students have classes and labs of 25 hours a week . In the next Sem the situation would be reverse .
One flexibility here at BITS is that we make our own time table . The institute does not decide that when we have to attend the classes. Infact we tell them that I want to sit in this particular section. Classes start from 8 in the morning to 5 or 6 in the evening. Some times you may have classes at 8 or 9 pm. I am enclosing my Ist sem time table .I’ll upload my next Sem time table in January.
